First time visiting the Mornington Peninsula wine region

Private Wine Tour

Tuesday, 26th December 2017

Embarking on their first ever tour of the Mornington Peninsula wine region this family decided to go on a private tour visiting some amazing locations. Starting in Dromana with a cellar door visit we then moved on to Merricks North for lunch and wine tasting. After lunch they then visited the iconic Quealy winemakers followed by a visit to the all new Point Leo Estate to try some wines while taking in the amazing views of Western Port Bay. To top it all off, we stopped of at Arthurs Seat look out and then an impromptu visit to the beach for a quick toe dip.

Some of the beautiful wineries visited were:

Crittenden Estate winery in Dromana for a cellar door visit and wine tasting

Rare Hare (Home of Willow Creek Wines) for a delicous lunch and barrel room wine tasting

Quealy Winemakers for an cellar door wine tasting

Pt Leo Estate for a cellar door wine tasting and amazing views

“Top Notch”
“On Boxing Day, we travelled in comfort with Ric to sample some of the Mornington Peninsula’s great wines – and the glorious weather let us see the Peninsula at its best. Ric was very accommodating taking into consideration the fact that I can only walk short distances. Ric was well informed about the wineries we visited – all quite different In character but each with superb tastings. With 2 tasting sessions before lunch at Crittenden and Jackalope, lunch was a treat at the Rare Hare (part of the Jackalope Estate). A further 2 tasting sessions after lunch at Quealy and Pt Leo Estate rounded off the day. We meandered back to the CBD via Arthur’s Seat with a slight detour to the seaside. The extra little details made the day quite memorable. Thanks Ric! Here’s to your continued success!” – by Ann Desmond, Jan 2018
