Melbourne Cup Weekend – Wine Tasting
Private Wine Tour
Monday, 6th November 2017
This group of friends from Brisbane decided to spend their spare time over the Melbourne Cup weekend by going on a wine tour of the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. Starting in Red Hill with a cellar door visit to Port Phillip Estate taking in the sweeping views of Western Port Bay, we then moved on to Balnarring, Merricks North and then finishing the winery tour in Point Leo where the group enjoyed some wine and sculpture viewing to complete their amazing day exploring the Mornington Peninsula wine region.
Some of the beautiful wineries visited were:
Port Phillip Estate for a cellar door wine tasting and amazing views
Barn & Co for wine tasting and gourmet lunch
Quealy Winemakers for an cellar door wine tasting
Rare Hare (Home of Willow Creek Wines) for a barrel room wine tasting
Pt Leo Estate for a cellar door tasting and sculpture viewing
“10/10 day out!”
“We had a great time on this tour to the Mornington Peninsula with a group of friends. Ric was extremely knowledgeable about the area and chose a good selection of wineries – from small cellar doors to new “big deal” wineries. Lunch at Barn & Co was a particular highlight. Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to check out the area.” – by BecJT, Nov 2017
